The health and comfort of our cows is our number one priority. We are constantly monitoring their health with the help of our nutritionist, Kyle Merrill, and our vet, Jadene Patch. They each come by every couple weeks to do herd health checks.
The most important part of herd health is preventive maintenance. Dr. Patch plays an important role in this along with our nutritionist, and employees. She also works with us designing vaccination programs, cow treatment protocols and is available for emergency help and advice.
One of the things Kyle, our nutritionist does is test the cow’s feed. This way, we’re able to see if they are getting all the vitamins and minerals they need, and make sure they are getting enough fiber, fats, carbs etc.
